The Institute

A private Minecraft server for a few friends in Brisbane.
This is a live map of it — the world as it is right now, with players on it.

The map is live. Player positions move as they move, and terrain is re-rendered within a couple of minutes of you changing it — so if you have just built something, give it a moment and refresh. It fills in as the world is explored, and a full scan runs once a day to catch anything nobody was standing near.

Joining

The server is invite-only — it needs a password before anyone can play on it. If you have been invited, here is the whole thing.

  1. Client Minecraft: Java Edition, cracked. T-Lancher is the easiest — set it to offline mode and pick any name you like.
The official launcher will not connect; the server does not verify accounts.
  2. Address mc.nateterrence.net
    port 25565
  3. Password You will land in a small empty world. That is the gate working.
In chat, type /password followed by the code, and you are in.
Nathan sends the code with the invite.

Versions 1.21.8 and up work. Older ones are translated automatically, so anything recent is fine.

On the server

Two things live here: a survival world to hang out in, and a Bed Wars arena for the games. You land in the survival world after the password; the arena is a command away.

  1. Play Bed Wars In chat, type /bw join. Two players minimum, four to a team, four teams: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.
Protect your bed, break theirs, be the last team standing. Dying is free until your bed goes.
  2. Bring your team /party invite <name>, they accept, then the party admin’s /bw join takes everyone in together.
  3. Between rounds /bw lobby returns you to the survival world. /bw spectate watches a game in progress. /bw stats shows your record.

The world is survival mode — whatever you build between rounds is still there next time.
